The homie XL Middleton is dropping a new album - both in a free DJ-tagged version and an untagged iTunes version - called “Middle Class Blues.” That’s the smart way to play the game these days, and he’s gonna kill it with this one. Hit the jump for the world premiere of his new single “Vossi On The Rocks,” along with the artwork and the official press release for the album.

Yep, it’s gonna be a wrap for the site as of this upcoming Monday. I’m taking a literal “Chronic Vacation” from the music industry, and I want to take this time to give a MAJOR shout out to everyone who’s been a part of my journey in this game since Day 1. This has been the craziest 3 years of my life to say the least. And don’t worry, I’ll do a proper sendoff with all the bells and whistles on Monday. In the meantime, we’ve still got a few more dope features that need to come out, and more music to unleash on you as we close this week out.
So light one up in celebration of good things to come and enjoy the shitload of music you might (or might not) have missed during the last two weeks by hitting the jump. We’ve really accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish with Chronic Vacation, and you can thank yourself for making this the dope site it’s become today. Chuuch!

I’m going out of town for the next week or so. Don’t trip, when I get back you’ll get new interviews, and of course all the latest music every day. But for this next week, don’t bother coming around these parts, because there’s gonna be nothing new. Hit up the homies at WestCoastRydaz or Raptalk if you need some West Coast flava in your life. Until then, C’est La Vie muthafuckas!

Wow, that was the craziest award show I’ve seen in a while. In case you haven’t heard yet, the fiasco started when Kanye West jumped on stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for “Best Female Video” and started saying that Beyonce deserved the award over Taylor for “Single Ladies.” Ironically, Beyonce won “Video Of The Year” instead later in the night, so he really looked like a complete tool for no reason.
Later during the fun filled evening, Lil Mama, aka the Ghost Of No-One-Gives-A-Fuck Past, came on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’s performance and did her best B-Boy impression. I just came across THIS GIF on Twitter *alledgedly* showing Hova pushing Lil Mama backstage after the performance. I have no idea where it came from, or if it’s real, but you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll all know more in the morning.
Until then, hit the jump for Kanye’s apology to Taylor Swift that he’s already posted on his blog.

We’re taking a break from our Chronic Vacation today to remember hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur, who, in my opinion, was the best to ever do it. Pac may be gone, but his music and his legacy will live on forever. Below, you can watch some of the best Pac music videos of all time. R.I.P. to Makaveli tha Don.
